Grandmas garden 2007

This is the beginning of my square foot garden. With Michael's help building the boxes and mixing "Mel's mix" for planting things are going great! Lots of work! With changes along the way we are coming along. The plants, all started from seed, were put in the first part of May. We still have a lot more work to do, more boxes to build and fill, more ground fabric to lay and cover with mulch (trying to avoid weeds), and old bushes to cut down. The birds really like the new bird baths and the rabbits like my lettuce. I had to put up a small fench to keep them out. There are lots of clover in my yard for them to eat the lettuce is for me!
